AmiGolf Academy welcomes children and youth to learn golf in a fun and supportive environment. We teach the fundamentals of golf for short game putting and chipping and full swing irons, hybrids and woods to develop confidence, perseverance and sportsmanship. We also teach golf etiquette, healthy habits and social skills for networking.

AmiGolf Academy offers three programs:

1. Golf Fundamentals (Offered Spring & Fall)
   1. Program designed for kids 5-14. Participants are introduced to the game of golf over the course of 7 weekly lessons with topics that include: (1) Golf terminology, rules and fundamentals of short game putting. COURTESY; (2) Short game chipping and pitching. RESPECT; (3) Full swing Irons. RESPONSABILITY; (4) Full swing hybrids and woods. CONFIDENCE; (5) Full swing driver. PERSEVERANCE; (6) Golf course management. INTEGRITY; (7) Scramble SPORTSMANSHIP
2. Golf Mentorship Program (Offered Spring)
   1. Program designed for Hartford teens 13-19. Participants are provided equipment and paired up with a local adult mentors. Teens and their mentors participate in 6 weekly lessons and are provided with vouchers to play rounds together on weekends. The program culminates with a small tournament and banquet. 
3. CardioGolf (Offered Winter)
   1. Program designed for girls 7-14. Participants learn the mechanics and biomechanics of the golf swing while working out and burning calories. The program is designed to support the development of physical competence in each of ten recognized fitness domains: Cardiovascular, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, Accuracy.
      
      

AmiGolf Academy was founded by Estela Morales Segarra. Estela resides in Hartford with her husband and son, where she actively promotes diversity and inclusion within the golfing community. Estela is an LPGA Class A member and co-founder of the CT Latinas Golf Team, she passionately coaches adults and children from various backgrounds, fostering inclusivity. Estela dedicates herself to expanding the reach of golf by advocating for diversity within the sport and serving on two national LPGA committees: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and New Members. Also, Estela actively engages as a board member of organizations such as Women at the Table Connecticut and Hartford Parents University, demonstrating her commitment to community engagement and empowerment. Other certifications: Cardio Golf Instructor, PGA Jr. League Certify Coach, US Golf Kids Coach, PGA Hope Veterans Program.
